The Career Change Maker Podcast I Career Change, Career Advancement & Leadership Development
# 237: Raise Your Visibility To Attract Opportunities
In this episode:
In today's episode we are doing one of my favourite types of episodes, a past client case study interview. You get to be a fly on the wall for our debrief conversation that often happens a month or two after I finish working with clients.
One of the reasons, I am so passionate about helping people to find meaningful and impactful work that they love, is because I get to experience that. I get to use my skillset to work with and support the most incredible women. I do not take it for granted that the women that I work are amazing and knowing that I get to be part of their journey is the most fulfilling thing.
Charmaine has been an awesome client, who has been willing to show up and do the work to create an ideal opportunity. She shares her story to show others that it is absolutely possible to make that career change happen and to demonstrate that your goals are valid and achievable.
Summary:
What you will learn in this episode:
- How to secure your goal without missing opportunities – find out where opportunities can be found so that you are not applying for the same role as hundreds of others.
- How to use LinkedIn to boost confidence, invent strategies, create clarity, and share the value of your experience and thoughts.
- How what you do, whether creating visibility, voicing your opinion, and having it listened to, adding to your current skillset or simply having a conversation ties into your goal.
If you are contemplating getting support with your career transition, then find a coach who is the right fit for you; I hope Charmaine journey has inspired you to start now.
Episode Notes:
As an award-winning certified executive and career coach, TEDx speaker, podcast host and former lawyer, I have seen way too many female professionals under selling themselves and settling for less in their careers. I am committed to equipping high achieving women with the tools and support to create careers that are both meaningful and impactful.
